Giving What for Lent? Do you know what Lent is? You're right: Lent is not Christmas! Hallmark doesn't make cards that say "Have a Happy Lent!" Lent is not a commercial enterprise -- no hype, no cutesy mottos. Lent still is pure ... purely religious. Isn't that amazing?! It is a time to re-examine our spiritual growth, unhampered. Forty days to remind ourselves of the uniqueness of Christianity... days in which many people give up something dear to them and there's lots of joking about giving up things we never do anyway. Instead of giving up
something, have you considered giving something? Or perhaps
